Miller Media - Rebrand design
Miller Media approached me during a pivotal shift in their business, transitioning from wedding and event photography to a bold new focus on racing, cars, and BMX sports. To support this evolution, the client needed a logo that captured speed, energy, and a passion for motorsports, while still nodding to his roots in photography.
The creative direction called for a strong, type-driven identity. I began by selecting a bold, italicized font to immediately convey motion and momentum—key traits in both racing and dynamic photography. I customized the letterforms, especially the “M”s, to include angular edges and introduced a modern serif to amplify the high-performance aesthetic.
For the icon, I went through several design iterations, exploring ways to merge automotive and camera elements. After experimenting with exposure rings, tires, and headlights, I landed on a concept that fused a speedometer with a camera lens, symbolizing precision, adrenaline, and the fusion of two passions. I refined the composition using clean, modern lines for a sleek, versatile result.
The final logo struck the perfect balance between Miller Media’s past and its new direction. The client was thrilled with the design and felt it captured the essence of his rebrand.
